Media Relations & Marketing Manager – Oman Tourism

Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Media Relations & Marketing Manager to support the Oman Ministry of Heritage & Tourism’s marketing and communications activities across Southeast Asia, covering Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and Thailand.
The role will lead media relations, destination marketing, public relations, trade engagement, stakeholder management and regional promotional activities to strengthen Oman’s visibility and positioning as a premium tourism destination.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement regional media relations, communications and destination marketing plans.
- Build relationships with journalists, media owners, influencers, travel agents, tour operators, airlines and tourism partners.
- Secure positive media coverage across print, digital, television, radio and social media.
- Coordinate roadshows, workshops, trade events, media activities and consumer campaigns.
- Prepare press releases, media materials, presentations, campaign summaries and destination updates.
- Plan and manage media familiarisation trips, influencer visits and trade educational programmes.

Qualifications and Requirements
- Malaysian citizen.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Tourism, Hospitality, Journalism or a related field.
- Minimum 5–8 years of relevant experience in public relations, tourism marketing, destination branding, media relations, travel trade engagement, corporate communications, hospitality or airline marketing.
- Strong network within the Southeast Asia media, tourism and travel trade industry.
- Experience managing regional PR campaigns, destination marketing activities and stakeholder engagement.
- Experience with tourism boards, airlines, hospitality brands, luxury travel or destination representation accounts is preferred.
- Excellent English writing, presentation, communication and storytelling skills.
- Strong project management and event coordination capabilities.
- Able to manage multiple markets, projects and stakeholders.
- Experience in crisis communications and reputation management will be an advantage.

Job Summary
The Digital Operations Executive is responsible for supporting daily digital activities, including website updates, social media, CRM, email marketing, content management and reporting. The role works closely with internal teams to ensure our digital platforms remain accurate, consistent and up to date.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and schedule EDM campaigns using Brevo.
- Manage social media scheduling and publishing.
- Maintain and update WordPress websites and landing pages.
- Publish and update website content, images and promotions.

- Provide first-line IT support for desktops, laptops, printers and office equipment.
- Support Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive and SharePoint).
- Create and maintain user accounts, passwords and access permissions.
- Install and configure PCs, software and peripherals.
- Maintain IT asset inventory and software licences.
- Coordinate hardware repairs, warranty claims and vendor support.
