With over fifty years of experience in the travel and tourism industry, Pacific World Travel (PWT) has become the preferred partner of leading travel industry organisations from around the world, seeking to expand into Malaysia and Southeast Asia. As the leading General Sales & Services Agency and marketing representation company in Malaysia, PWT offers exceptional services in this dynamic market.

Our professionalism enables us to be among the very few companies in Malaysia that enjoys the support and confidence from major outbound tour operators and ticketing agents in the market, by specialising in providing key linkages between principals and the travel trade.

PWT has two major divisions, one that acts as a General Sales & Services Agency (GSSA) for airlines and the other operating Marketing Representation Services for Tourists Board, tourism destinations, hotels, car rental and cruise line companies.

We can’t do it without our people - our management team is highly professional and is well-supported by experienced sales and marketing personnel who maintain excellent rapport with travel trade players and commercial houses.

Evolution Timeline

1969

Began as SITA World Travel primarily in the business of representing Hotels and Car Rental.

1983

Group President, Tunku Iskandar was elected President of MATTA till 1989.

1984

Awarded its first GSSA, for Airlines is American Airlines and Destination is Hawaii Visitors Bureau.
Became an official member of MATTA.  

1988

Officially changed from SITA World Travel to Pacific World Travel.

1989

Group President, Tunku Iskandar was elected as President of PATA till 1990.

1992

Secure GSSA for South African Airways  representation till today, immediately after the end of Apartheid in South Africa.

1994

Gained its first Cruise Line Representation with Cunard Line and is entrusted with other sister brands to date.

1995

As part of an expansion plan, opened a new Penang operational workforce as a branch office.

1997

Appointed as MGTO Rep Malaysia till this day.

1999

Group President, Tunku Iskandar was again elected as President of MATTA till 2006.

1999

Became the official GSSA for Philippines Airlines till this day.

2000

One of the first GSSA in Malaysia to attain ISO accreditation – MS 9002:1994 standard.

2003

Upgraded to ISO 9001:2000 in year 2003

2008

Opened Kota Kinabalu operational branch office as part of an expansion plan to cover East Malaysia.

2014

Appointed as Southeast Asia Marketing Rep for 25 designer shopping Outlets under McArthurGlen Group.

2018

Transited to the current ISO 9001:2015 standard.

2020

Appointed as Southeast Asia Marketing Rep for Maldives Marketing & Public Relations Corporation.

2022

Became the official GSSA for SriLankan Airlines till this day.

2023

Became the official GSSA for Air Macau in Malaysia

2024

Appointed as Representative Office in Malaysia for Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB)
