Kuala Lumpur, 4 January 2019 – 2019 has finally arrived and it’s a brand new year for travelling! Any plans on where to travel? Macao might just be your best choice! Why? Because the Hong Kong – Zhuhai – Macao Bridge has officially opened for traffic! Plus, Macao will also be celebrating the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Macao Special Administrative Region so the Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) has prepared a line-up of exciting events specially for visitors!

From 11 to 13 January 2019, the ‘Macao Chinese New Year Roadshow’ will be held at the East Atrium, Ground Floor of MyTOWN Shopping Centre! For those of you travel-lovers who are itching for a good holiday, you are cordially welcomed to participate in the roadshow to learn, understand, and experience Macao for yourself!
During the roadshow, fun activities will not be the only excitements awaiting visitors as there will also be amazing promotions and discount packages up for grabs! Visitors who purchase Macao travel packages from the participating travel agencies on the spot will also be able to take home a special gift for free! (Promotion is valid while stocks last. In order to allow visitors to indulge in the diverse tourism excitements that Macao offers, the MGTO has specially prepared an exhilarating VR (Virtual Reality) game where visitors can truly experience beautiful Macanese landscapes and landmarks. After the game, shutterbugs and “selfie queens” are also invited to come over to the special photography area to take photos with the various backdrops of past Macao festivals. That’s not all! For those who are always on the lookout for yummilicious bites, the MGTO has also prepared popular Macao snacks, such as Portuguese egg tarts and almond cookies, for visitors to sample! All these exciting activities will make you feel like you’re already in Macao!
In celebration of the Chinese New Year, the God of Prosperity will also be visiting the roadshow to give out auspicious Ang Bao’s (red envelopes) to visitors! A unique Ang Bao Origami activity as well as a sand painting activity of Macao’s official tourism mascot, ‘Mak Mak’, the blackfaced hornbill, will also be held, so be sure to come over this weekend to participate and express your artistic flare! Famous Key Opinion Leaders (KOL), Nabila Razali, Kyopropaganda and Akwa, will also be at the roadshow to share about their Macao trip so if you want to know more, make sure you don’t miss their sharing session!
